Javascripts effects library version 1.5.0 was released yesterday. One can do quite fancy stuff with that library. However, it does come with an increased total file size for the web site. So alternatives have been popping up like moo.fx which aims to be a “superlightweight, ultratiny, megasmall javascript effects library” to quote the home page:

moo.fx is not a replacement for or other effects libraries. It’s just a little alternative for people (like me) that do not need more than just simple, basic effects (and want to keep their filesize small).

I haven’t played with moo.fx yet but I plan to get around to it soon.
