Every time I’ve used Ruby on Rails I’ve totally liked it, but for some reason I seem to forget about this in the time between I’ve finished one thing and I start another Rails thing.
This week I started working on a climbed routes list system (a.k.a. a tick list) so me and Camilla can keep track of what we have climbed on which rock and when, and get some nice statistics of our progress. I’ve done this in the train on the way to work and on the way home, and this has actually made me look forward to getting up in the morning, because when I get to the train I get to play with Rails and develop my application further. It’s such a bliss working in Ruby and in Rails that the short period of time I get to do that in the train easily outweighs the long tedious hours working with Java during the office hours.
